It?s the end of the Microsoft 2012 Fiscal Year and Microsoft has taken a look back at the year and has officially announced awards for their key partners.? This year, Enterprise Services, Technology Services, and HP Networking are being honored as the 2012 Communications Market Acceleration Partner of the Year.? Microsoft recognized HP as a key partner who has proven expertise in planning, deployment, management and support of Microsoft Lync Voice. This is the inaugural year for the Microsoft award, and HP will be acknowledged at the company?s upcoming Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto, Canada. Our team will be there to accept the award, and who knows maybe catch a Blue Jay baseball game (well after the business ends!)

For those who are unaware, or new to this technology, Lync is an enterprise-ready unified communications platform that lets users make phone calls, host web conferences, track contacts, send instant messages, launch audio ??all from a single interface.

To achieve this award, HP made this a companywide initiative focusing on all business units from services, software, and hardware. In Enterprise Services, we launched new services and products to help our customers with Converged Could.? Our new offering is called Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS). ECS provides clients with a managed email, collaboration, business intelligence, and real-time communications service based on Exchange, SharePoint and Lync ? all at price points and availability to suit client needs for security, manageability, compliance, data sovereignty, and transparency.

ECS can support these services directly from HP?s data centers, or in a mixed/hybrid environment with some business critical data and applications hosted at HP data centers and others hosted by Microsoft.

The Enterprise Services Unified Communications teams separate HP from the competition ? these HP teams are widely recognized within Microsoft as one of the few teams? with the ability to? install, configure, manage and maintain a complete Microsoft unified communications and collaboration solution for the largest global companies virtually anywhere in the world

A specific project Enterprise Services took on this year was to create an interactive Lync demonstration at The Experience Center on HP?s Plano, Texas campus. This center gives clients the chance to see Lync in action, which allows clients to visualize how they can achieve bottom-line results through unified communications, messaging and collaboration services.?
